Why is Shipping $1000?!Why can’t I just click and buy it?” Great question—and we totally get the confusion. Here’s the scoop: Because each of our used marine treasures is one-of-a-kind, we don’t want to charge anyone before making sure the item is still aboard. Our shop is a busy port, and things move fast—so we always double-check availability, condition, and packing needs before we finalize a sale. That’s why we ask you to call, email, or submit a request to buy instead of heading straight to checkout. We know that big red $1000 shipping fee is a shocker, but don’t worry—it’s just a placeholder to keep folks from accidentally checking out before we’ve had a chance to connect and tailor a quote just for you. That said, we’d love to help you get what you need! Send us the item name or part number (and maybe even a link if you have it). That’ll help us track it down and give you the most accurate info on shipping or in-store pickup options. Feel free to give us a call at 954-522-6716 if you’d rather chat with a crew member right away (we're here Mon–Fri 8:30–6, Sat 9–5, closed Sundays). Looking forward to helping you get underway!

I want to sell or consign something!Ahoy! Thanks for reaching out. I'll personally track down Dave and get him aboard the chat to answer any detailed questions you may have. Here's a quick rundown for you: At Sailorman, we buy, trade, and consign used marine gear. If you're local, you can bring your items directly to the store — no appointment necessary. If you're sailing from afar, simply call (954) 522-6716 or email photos and a description to dave@sailorman.com, and we'll chart the next steps with you. Once we review your gear, you’ll have a few options: Sell it outright for cash or store credit. Trade it toward something you need. Consign it, and we’ll sell it for you and pay you once it finds a new home. We buy just about anything nautical—big or small—so don’t be shy! For more details, you can also visit: Sell & Consign Info. Stand by — I'll have Dave join you shortly! If you miss the message please check your email. Fair winds!
